NEIL O’LEARY, ESQ.
Since relocating to the area from Cape Elizabeth, Maine in 1970, the Philadelphia area has been my home. I graduated from Villanova University with a degree in Accounting in 1976. I stayed the course and graduated from Villanova Law School in 1979. During that time I was very active in the rugby club and participated in numerous tournaments throughout the USA.
I have been licensed to practice law since 1979. I first opened my doors to conduct the general practice of law in 1990. Prior to that, I was an associate at a law firm in Norristown where I was responsible for handling a variety of cases. Regardless of the legal issue I derive my satisfaction from assisting my client through turbulent times.
Over the years my office has represented small businesses with day to day affairs; I have a tremendous amount of experience in regulatory matters, especially in the insurance realm. I am licensed to practice in all Pennsylvania Courts and Federal Court. My firm serves the five county areas: Chester, Montgomery, Delaware, Berks and Lancaster.
I have turned my focus to legal problems effecting individuals and families in the fields of family law, bankruptcy and probate (wills) since 1990.
I take my role as legal “counselor” very seriously. After practicing law for many years I am aware of my role as an adviser both legally and personally. Divorce, like Bankruptcy, is frequently an extremely stressful, complex, psychologically charged event. I pride myself on my sensitivity to these dynamics and go out of my way to accept the role as counselor. To that end, all of my clients have the ability to speak directly with an attorney whenever they NEED them. Sometimes a ten minute phone call on a Friday night can resolve a troubling issue thereby permitting my clients to get the right answer when they need it most and relax!
This office has successfully represented many families maneuver their way through Federal Bankruptcy Court in both Chapters 13 and 7. In addition I have assisted individuals in all phases of the divorce process, from simple no fault divorces where the parties work together (always preferable) to complex matters. I have personally handled custody cases in diverse counties, including grandparent’s custody matters. I am fluent in the law and procedures pertaining to support and property distribution.
In the past I have represented clients in District Court throughout the counties. In addition I regularly serve as a court official to hear and render decisions on arbitration panels.
My office is located with easy access to the counties that we serve. I am located at the Valley Forge Commons in Phoenixville, specifically, Suite 6, 1220 Valley Forge Road, Phoenixville, PA. You can contact me to discuss your legal issue and schedule a no fee, initial consultation, evenings or weekends at (610) 935-1200 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
